Ethan and the Ewox has been working as a full-time band for the last 10 years. Listeners of WWOZ/New Orleans chose them as the number one JazzFest artist when they debuted at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival  on the main stage, opening for Los Lobos, Robert Randolph & the Family Band, and Ben Harper. They're turning heads with a classic rock-influenced brand of music that ROCKS, POPS & ROLLS with Southern soul. Ethan and the Ewox has just recently moved from the small town of Jacksonville, AL to the big city of Atlanta, GA. where they are developing quite a fanbase. The band is fronted by the unique acoustic guitar style and passionate vocals of Ethan Baker. Add to that the distinctive, fusionistic fingerstyle/lead/rhythm techniques of lead guitarist Rob Bruce. Renaissance-man Gary Chumney fills it out with his incredible drumming and talent for being able to play any instrument he picks up. Deeply influenced by their Southern roots, the band has refined an intelligent sound that is quite different from anything out there, yet strangely familiar at the same time.
